MaskOff guide
Private Caller vs. Unknown Caller
The labels look similar, but they can describe different caller-ID situations.
Private, Blocked, or No Caller ID
These labels usually mean the caller withheld the phone number. That is the type of incoming call MaskOff is designed to identify. Complete setup first, then decline the hidden call so it can be processed.
Unknown
Unknown can mean your phone or carrier did not receive usable caller information. Carriers and devices use this label differently, so not every call marked Unknown can be identified. If the call is eligible, the result will appear in your MaskOff history after you decline it.
Spoofing is different
A visible number can be falsified through caller-ID spoofing. MaskOff cannot determine the true source of a number that is already displayed but fake. Treat an identified number as useful call information, not proof of who held the phone.
Be ready for the next blocked call
Complete the guided setup before it arrives.
